Kay L. Wheat

Kay Leann Wheat, 76, of Havana formerly of San Jose passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Mason District Hospital in Havana. She was born on February 18, 1949 in Peoria to Lawrence and Evelyn (Hinthorn) Burden.

Kay is survived by 3 children: Chris (Andrea) Wheat of Athens, Troy (Jennifer) Wheat of Mackinaw, Trisha (Justin) Severns of Pekin, 9 grandchildren and 3 siblings: Karla Hasler of Standford, Harlan Burden of Mackinaw and Larry Burden of Pekin. She was preceded in death by her parents 2 siblings: Karen Burden and Randy Burden.
Kay was a 1967 graduate of Green Valley High School. She was a homemaker. When her children were younger, she enjoyed running them to all their sporting events. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and coloring.
