Farmington – Betty L. Summers, 83, of Farmington, passed away at 1:10 PM on Monday, October 14, 2019 at her residence. She was born on March 24, 1936 in Canton to Chester F. and Edna (Ball) McMillan Sr. She married Harold Summers on September 20, 1972, he preceded her in death on July 8, 1995.
Also preceding her in death were her parents and two brothers, Chester F. McMillan Jr. and Harold D. McMillan.
Surviving are two children, Kelcy Kaler of Canton and Patrick (Betsy) Summers of McHenry, IL, two grandchildren, Grace and Blake Summers, one brother, Howard McMillan, and five sisters, Mildred Anderson, Francille (Jack) Boots, Roxy George, Linda McMillan, and Susan Henderson.
Betty retired from Caterpillar.
Graveside services will be held at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Bethel Cemetery in rural Canton, IL. Chaplain Ted Shirley will officiate. Memorials can be made to Harbor Light Hospice. To make online condolences you may go to www.sedgwickfuneralhomes.com
