Mendota-Margaret
E. Hill, 90, formerly of Canton, passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2018 in
Mendota, IL.
She
was born on July 26, 1928 in McDonough County to Charles and Flora (Simpson)
Orwig. They preceded her in death.
She
married Donald G. Hill on June 15, 1948 in Galesburg. He preceded her in death on April 4, 1992.
Surviving
are her children, Carol Lynn (Robert) Davis of Davenport, FL, Janet Kay Hill of
Mendota, Donna Rae Howdeshell of Mendota, Wanda Jene (Kenneth) Moore of Weldon, IL,
Nancy Anne (Thomas) Morrisey of Kissimmee, FL, one brother, Charles (Jeanne)
Orwig of Kewanee, one sister Mildred Krueter of Aurora, CO, eight
grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great great grandsons.
Also
preceding her in death is one sister Martha Evans.
Margaret
was born and raised in Galesburg and was a graduate of Galesburg High
School. She was a lifetime member of the
Girl Scouts and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
A
funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at 1pm at the Oaks-Hines
Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton with a visitation one hour prior at the
funeral home.
Burial
will be held at the Prairie City Cemetery.
