Canton – Aaron Michael Anderson, 35, of Canton, passed away at 11:45 PM on Saturday, October 13, 2018 in Havana, IL. He was born on September 22, 1983 in Canton, IL to Aaron T. and Tracy (Shryock) Anderson. They survive.
Also surviving are three children, Hanna Anderson-Davis, Grady Anderson, and Avery Anderson of Canton; one sister, Deena Anderson of Troy, IL.
Aaron worked as a correctional officer for the Illinois River Correctional Center. He was a member of the Illinois River Correctional Center Tactical Unit. Aaron graduated form Lewistown High School in 2002, and received his Bachelors Degree from Western Illinois University. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Aaron loved his kids so much.
Memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, October 19, 2018 at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, a visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until time of service. Rev. Jerry Sawyer will officiate. Illinois River Correctional Center officer’s will be present during the service.Cremation rites will be accorded through Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory. A private burial of ashes will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Canton at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to an educational fund for his children.
