Canton – Charles Ryan Dayton Montgomery, 14, of Canton, passed away at 7:08 Pm on Saturday, November 25, 2017 in Cuba, IL. He was born on May 10, 2003 in Indianapolis, IN to Christina Montgomery and Bryant Williams. They survive.
Also surviving is one brother, Deven Montgomery of Canton; one sister, Shaila Williams of Canton; Paternal grandparents, Carl and Doris Stiles of NJ; maternal grandparents, April Johnson of Lewistown and Darrell Kurzan of Canton; great-grandmother, Barbara Johnson of IN; great-grandparents, Jim (Pat) Kurzan of Canton; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Charles was preceded in death by his great-aunt, Alice Naylor.
Charles went to Canton Ingersoll Middle School. He was a member of the Canton JFL and wrestling club. Charles was of the Christian faith. He loved to play basketball, listen to all types of music, technology, and most of all loved to make people laugh. Charles will be dearly missed by family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held from 3-7 PM on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Wallace Park in Canton, IL. Cremation rites will be accorded with Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL. Praise God that Charles was of the Christian faith. I prayed that God would be merciful on him since he was so young. I am so glad that you mentioned that because now I can be at peace knowing that this young man is with Jesus forever. May God comfort all of his family. Believe on Jesus and you will see him again.
