AIRVIEW- Marian L. Cox, 80 of Fairview, passed away at 4:00 AM on Monday, August 28, 2017 at Renaissance Care Center in Canton. She was born on December 7, 1936 in Gumboro, Delaware, a daughter of Orville and Lillian (Timmons) Gray. She married William R. Cox on May 6, 1956 in Salisbury, Maryland. He preceded her in death on October 21, 2008.
Also proceeding her in death is her parents, one son, James R. Cox, one brother, Bob Gray, three sisters, Betty Trader, Helen Wigfall, Patricia Crozier, one great- grandchild, and three step-grandchildren.
Surviving are her children, David A. (Sandra) Cox of Phoenix, Arizona; Lori A. (Mike) Widger of Rochester, Illinois; Valerie S. (Trevor) Bube of Fairview, Illinois; also surviving are six grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and seven step-great-grandchildren.
Marian was a homemaker, and a member of the Fairview Homemaker’s Extension Association.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1995 North Main Street, Canton, where visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the services. Rev. Kevin VanTine will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Harbor Light Hospice.
