Thelma Jane Starcevich

Thelma Jane Starcevich, 94, of Canton, passed away at 8:10 am on November 26, 2024 at her residence. She was born on May 29, 1930 in Summum IL to George and Cora (Beaty) Shawgo. Thelma married Frank J. Starcevich Sr. on April 23, 1949 in Canton. He preceded her in death in January of 1978. Also preceding her in death were her parents, three sons; Mathew, Michael and George Starcevich, three brothers; Charles, Delbert and Keith Shawgo and two sisters; Nelda Brush and Lela Shaw

Surviving are four sons; Frank “Joe” (Connie) Starcevich Jr. of Canton, Anthony “Tony” Starcevich of Canton, Danny (Sherri) Starcevich of Creve Coeur, and Lawrence Starcevich of Canton, one granddaughter Jessica (Ben) Starcevich-Tutt of Bartonville, two step-grandchildren, Aaron French, Heather Emery, sister Wilma Long of Canton, several nieces and nephews.

Thelma was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Croatian Lodge #367.

Services will be 10 am Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton where visitation will be from 4-6 pm on Monday, December 2, 2024.
