Gary “Big Gary” Lee Eveland Sr., of London Mills, passed away at 2:33 PM on Sunday, December 15th, 2024 at Graham Hospital in Canton, IL. Gary was born on August 31st 1953 in Canton, Illinois, to Stanley Marion and Edith Lavina (Johnson) Eveland. Gary first married Cindy Oldham and later married Denise Babbitt.
Gary is survived by six children; Nathan Eveland, Gary (Heather) Eveland Jr, John (Kirsten Kelly) Westler, Jamon Coulter, Keegen (Ryan Hinkle) Coulter, and Keely Coulter; eight grandchildren; Hannah Eveland, Chloe Eveland, Andrea (Dustin) Ward, Elaina Coulter, Walker Stine, William Schmick, and Gracie Hinkle; 3 great-grandchildren; Conner Ward, Asher Ward, and Eleanor Babbitt; and one sister, Mary Nelson.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Georgia Bloyd; and most special friend, Kem Butler.
Gary worked as an electrician/Hvac although he was a man of all trades. Gary enjoyed watching the Cubs and the Bears, mushroom hunting and fishing.
