He is also survived by one son, Andrew Ray (Danielle) Empey Jr. of Morton, IL; five grandchildren, Keaton Empey, Bryant Empey, Abigail Empey of Morton, IL, Tyler and Zachary Empey of Pekin, IL; Daughter-in-law, Jennie Althiser; two bonus son’s, Derek Watts, and Paul Lowrance; bonus daughter, Sondra Ball; bonus grandkids, Gabby, Ireland, Bryson, Matthew and Leeanna Lowrance; one Army brother, Richard Wheeler; one sister-in-law, Joan Empey.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Lee and Willy “Will” Empey; one brother Charles Empey; and one Army brother, John “Skip” Clark.
Andrew worked and retired from Caterpillar. He owned and operated Wagon Wheel Mobile Home Park in Canton, IL for over 25 years. He enjoyed fishing at his lake. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. He was a founding member of Sovereign Grace Independent Baptist Church in Cuba, IL.
He was also a Veteran of the United States Army. He served from 1968-1971.
Graveside service with military honors will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Shields Chapel Cemetery in Canton, IL. Pastor Michael McCoskey will officiate. Memorials may be made to the family. To leave an online condolence you may go to www.sedgwickfuneralhomes.com
