Dorla Jene Helle

Farmington- Dorla Jene Helle, 92, of Farmington, IL; died at 11:08 a.m. Sunday, December 8th 2024 at Courtyard Estates in Farmington.

She was born April 5, 1932 in Bernadotte, IL; the daughter of Howard and Alice (Chenoweth) Chambers. She married Clifford Helle on February 28, 1948 in Palmyra, MO. He preceded her in death on March 30, 1994. She was also preceded by her parents; brothers, Frank, Lee, and Richie Chambers; sisters, Connie Fields and Geraldine Myers; and one grandchild, Shauna Helle.

Surviving are one son, Ed (Linda) Helle of Lewistown; one daughter, Phyllis Ault of Farmington; one brother, Larry (Elaine) Chambers of Bernadotte; two sisters, Judy Rench of Canton, and Lynn (Roy) Spangler of Bernadotte; three grandchildren, Gary Ault Jr. of Trivoli, Cheri (Matt) Masters of Willow Spring, NC and Terri Ault of Farmington; four great grandchildren, Katlynn (Trey) Hughes, Harley Ault, Kailey Masters and Kinsey Masters; two great-great grandchildren, Gavin and Oaklynn Hughes and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dorla was a farmer’s wife and homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and traveling.

A private family graveside service will be held Wednesday December 11th at Ipava Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown is assisting the family with arrangements.
