Canton-Ron Graves, 89, passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at his residence.
He was born on May 20, 1932 in Peoria. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil "Red" and Coral (Williams) Graves.
He married Rose McMahon in November of 1972 in Canton. She survives.
Also surviving are his children, Mary (Bill) Fitch of Lewistown, Karen
(Tom) Ransohoff of San Jose, CA, Paul (Lisa) Graves of Trabuc, CA, Tim
(Sandra) Graves of Tustin, CA, David (Coral) Graves of Newport Beach CA,
Carol (Jan) Starcevich of New Lenox, IL, John (Allison) Hahn of
Brimfield, IL, Sue Ellen (Craig) Bittle of Canton, IL, Ed Hahn of
Kennewick, WA and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Ron
worked as a firefighter for the City of Canton. He served in the U.S.
Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Canton American
Legion and the Canton VFW.
A funeral service will be held on
Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at 11 am with a visitation one hour prior at
Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton.
Burial will follow at the St Joseph Cemetery in Canton.
