Larry Hood


Havana - Larry L. Hood, 78, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at the Graham Hospital in Canton.
He was born on January 5, 1941 in Fulton County to Donald and Violet (Lutz) Hood. They preceded him in death.
He married Wilma Jean Hall on June 2, 1962 in Cuba. She survives.
Also surviving are four children, Sherry (Bruce) Fisher of Canton, Larry (Beverly) Hood of Lewistown, John (Marshan Ainsworth) Hood of Havana, Jeremy (Cheryl) Hood of Lewistown, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, three step grandchildren, nine step great grandchildren, and one sister, Sharon (Jerry) Lillie of Bernadotte.
Also preceding him in death is one brother, Bernard (Sheri) Hood.
Larry worked as a mechanic at the Texaco Station in Lewistown for 20 years and later for Crescent Forge in Havana for 25 years..
He was a member of the 1st Baptist Church in Lewistown. He enjoyed hunting and competitive archery. He was a member of the Lewistown Archery Club. Together with his wife they spent numerous hours gardening in their yard and won city yard honors..
Per his wishes cremation rites have been accorded and a burial of the ashes will be held at a later date in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown.
Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory have been entrusted with arrangements.
