Lewistown- Bernard L. Carlin, 73, of Lewistown passed away at 12:30 AM Sunday November 6, 2016 at his home.
He was born September 3, 1943 at Canton the son of Albert A. and Mary Louise (Henderson) Carlin. He married Ruth Shaw. He later married Carol Weber. Surviving are three children, Laura (Allen) Tippey of Lewistown, Pamela (Rod) Beaird of Ipava, and Christopher (Audrey) Carlin of Bryant, two sisters, Joyce (Robert) Behymer, of Lewistown, and Linda (Roger) Graham of Ipava, 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and his dog Shirley. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one great grandchild.
Bernard was a police officer for the City of Lewistown and later was a truck driver for M&L Concrete and several other companies for many years. He was a former member of the Canton Moose Lodge. Bernard enjoyed bowling and camping.
Cremation will be accorded and a memorial service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday at the Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Reverend Carl Denham officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the memorial home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Fulton County Humane Society or to Easter Seals.
