Shelly Strode

Shelly Strode, 60, of Fairview, passed away at, February 4, 2024 at Red Oak Estates in Canton. She was born on October 1, 1963 in Canton to Robert Lee and Kathryn Faye (Harr) Strode.

Surviving is her brother Troy (Melanie) Strode of Knoxville and several aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, maternal and paternal grandparents and sister Sherry Strode.

Shelly graduated from Spoon River Valley in 1981. She began teaching school in 1985 at United Township in East Moline then to East Moline High School, Williamsfield, Iroquois School District and retired in 2019 from Watseka School District.

Services will be 2:30 pm, Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton, where visitation will be one hour prior to services.
