He was born on April 13, 1936, to Charles and Goldie (Raymond) Wheeler. They preceded him in death as well as four brothers, Gale, Ernie, Robert and Roy, and two sisters, Velma, and Ellen.
John married Eleanor (Hall) on September 20, 1959. She preceded him in death in 2004.
He is survived by three children, Ron (Robin) Wheeler of Elmwood, Angie (Jeff) Davis of Yates City, and Melinda (Doug) Smith of Trivoli, three brothers, Chuck, Lawrence and Richard, seven grandchildren, Sonny, Tanya, Brandon, Colton, Ella, Ashton, and Brayden, and five great grandchildren, Dakota, Emily, Aubrey Alexia, and Emily.
John retired from Pabst Blue Ribbon in 1982. He also owned and operated Johnny’s Aluminum. He was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed Hunting, fishing, gambling, and playing bingo. Most of all John loved his family, cats and dogs.
Memorials may be made to SAMS Animal Shelter in Hannah City.
Cremation rites will be accorded with Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton.
