Katherine was a fighter as she fought cancer, and was a joy to be around, as her smile, and hugs could brighten up a dark day. She loved spending time with her family, as she was known as the brownie fairy to them, because of her delicious pan of brownies. As a young girl she enjoyed dancing, and was the dance assistant to her mother, at the dance studio. Katherine enjoyed crafting, golf carts ride with her husband and son, and working with flowers as a florist, and she always had a place in her heart for a stray animal.
Per Katherine’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded through Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington. There will be a celebration of life gathering held at a later date. Memorials can be made to SAMS Animal Shelter, 328 South Pinkerton Road, Hanna City, Illinois 61536. To leave online condolences please visit www.sedgwickfuneralhomes.com
