She was born November 30, 1951 at Springfield, the daughter of Arthur and Evelyn (Gustafson) Claypool. She married Steve A. Demler on July 2, 1972 at Greenview. He survives with two sons, Dave (Jackie) Demler of Canton, and Brian (Amber) Demler of Cuba, four grandchildren, Faith, Ella, Cody, and Samantha, one great grandchild, Bently, one sister, Kris Claypool of Springfield, and one brother, Eric (Penny) Claypool of Greenview. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Kathy worked as a nursing home administrator for 30 years in Lewistown and Canton. She later served as the Cuba City Clerk for several years. She was a long time member of St Peters Episcopal Church in Canton and participated in several cursillos during that time. She enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, holidays, family picnics, going to her kids and grandkids sporting events and spending time with her husband Steve. Her family was her greatest passion.
A private family service will be held at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Cuba. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fulton County Humane Society or St. Jude. Condolences may be made at henrylange.com
