Dixie G. Watters

Farmington- Dixie G. Watters, 85, of Farmington, passed away at 6:00 PM on Monday, February 19, 2024 at her residence. She was born on December 18, 1938 in Canton, a daughter of Dick and Ruth (Earhart) Elliott. She married Neal L. Watters on October 19, 1958 in Farmington. He preceded her in death on October 11, 2017.

Also preceding her in death were her parents.

Surviving, Dixie is two daughters, Chris (Late Fred) McMaster, of Farmington; Cinda (Chris) Ohl of Orlando, Florida, five grandchildren, Jami (Richard) Crawford, Ryan (Heather) McMaster, Lynsey (Ben) Vermillion, Alex (Angela) Ohl, and Kelci Ohl; nine great-grandchildren, Jace and Landon Crawford, Haven and Aniston McMaster, Presley, Easton, Maddox, Trace Vermillion, and Luca Ohl, also surviving is one sister Donna Blust of North Carolina.

Dixie worked as administrative assistant for various Insurance companies through the years, and worked for the Bank of Farmington for several years. She enjoyed following her grandchildren & great grandchildren through Farmington sporting events, and reading, on Wednesday’s, she joined her friends for coffee and breakfast.

Per Dixie’s wishes, there will be no services, cremation rites will be accorded through Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington. Private family burial of ashes will take place at a later date in Oakridge Cemetery in Farmington. Memorials can be made the Farmington Rescue Squad 1100.
