She was born January 26, 1930 at Bushnell the daughter of Clyde and Stella (Derry) Guilliams. She married Harold Whitman on July 5, 1950 at the Cuba Christian Church. She is survived by two sons, Larry (Tyrrell) Whitman of Lewistown, and Randy (Carla) Whitman of Peoria, two daughter-in-law’s, Sandy Whitman of Lewistown, and Judy Whitman of Canton, one sister Rosalie Clifford of Lewistown, sixteen grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, two children, Clyde William “Bill” Whitman, and Gary Gene Whitman, two grandchildren, Matthew and Jazmyne, her parents, two sisters, Sherry Fields, and Annie Netler, and one brother, Donald.
Marilie worked at Brannans Dry Cleaners and was a devoted co-worker on the family farm her entire life. She was a beloved supporter of her family and loved attending family events, working in her yard, and caring for animals. She was a fabulous cook, and treated everyone with kindness.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at the Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Marilie’s son, Randy Whitman officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery at Lewistown. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the memorial home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude. Online condolences may be made at henrylange.com.
