She was born on November 12, 1939, to WR Williams and Julia (Davis) Williams. They preceded her in death.
Edith is survived by her husband Kline "Bud" Bennett, whom she married on June 8, 1958 in Lewistown.
Also surviving are three children, Stephanie Bennett, Stacy (Brad) Beard and Sheri (Mike Thompson) Bennett, one sister, Mary Weisert, seven grandchildren, Erica, Paul, Mitchell, Spencer, Jeremy, Rachel and Risty, and Sixteen great, grandchildren with one on the way, and one son in law, John Black
Also preceding her in death is one daughter, Mary Sue Black, one brother, Rowland Williams and one sister Rosie Gorsuch.
Edith first worked at Atwood Manufacturing in Havana then later was a welder at International Harvester along with her husband.
She was the prom queen in 1957 at Lewistown High School. She drove a school bus for Lewistown Schools for 21 years and helped serve lunch.
She was a member of the St. James Episcopal Church in Lewistown. Edith enjoyed line dancing, tractor pulling, reading, and going to the Fulton County Fair. Most of all Edith loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and spending as much time as she could with each of them and attending all their events.
Memorials may be made to St. James Episcopal Church in Lewistown or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
Cremation rites have been accorded a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021 from 1-3 pm at the AFSCME Local 3585, 1016 W. Locust, Canton, IL.
