She married George Shores on August 5, 1939 in Charleston, Missouri. He preceded her in death on February 24, 2007.
Surviving are her children, Dixie (Steve) Tomlianovich of Canton, George "Joe" (Lorna) Shores of Springfield, Missouri, "Tana" Alexis Shores of Pekin, one sister, Dorothy Howard, nine grandchildren, twenty great grandchild, two great great grandchildren and her extended family, Chad Snyder, Nellie Whiteman, Les Shoen, Bridge Halfaday and Chase Surrells.
Also preceding her in death is her parents, three brothers and four sisters.
Jerry worked for International Harvester and later retired from Canton Manufacturing. She was a past member of the Women of the Moose and bowled in the Roxy Bowling League at Linn Lanes. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Canton.
A visitation will be held Friday, August 27, 2021 at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton from 10 to 11 a.m. with a funeral service at 11 am at the funeral home.
Burial will be held at the Highbridge Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St Jude Children's Hospital or to the American Cancer Society.
