Canton – Robert V. Stephenson, 68, of Canton passed away at 8:30 am, Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at his residence. He was born on January 8, 1950 in Pittsfield to Vincent and Evelyn (Smith) Stephenson. Robert married Karen Hinman on September 19, 1981 in Lincoln. She preceded him in death on February 7, 2014. Also preceding him in death were his parents. Surviving are two children; Jon (Ashlee) Stephenson of Washington and Rachael Stephenson of Canton, two brothers; Larry Stephenson of Wisconsin and Chuck Stephenson of Griggsville.
Robert retired as a correctional officer with the State of Illinois. He was a member of the Canton Masonic Lodge.
Services will be 11 am Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton. Visitation will be Friday, April 13 from 5-7 pm at the Funeral Home. Cremation rites have been accorded.
