Lewistown – Evelyn E. Stufflebeam, 91, of Lewistown, IL, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018 in Pekin. She was born on April 2, 1926 in Chandlerville, IL to Loren and Ollie (Ray) Duckwiler. She married Donald Lee Stufflebeam on April 16, 1950 at the First Christian Church, Moline, IL. He preceded her in death in 2017.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Tom Stufflebeam; one daughter, Carolyn Smith; and two brothers, Harold Duckwiler and Danny Carpenter.
Surviving are three children, Alan (Gaylene) Stufflebeam of Farmington, Marjorie (David) Bayless of Creve Coeur, and Della Gillespie of Pekin; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Jerry Carpenter of Bath.
Evelyn was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Lewistown and American Legion Post/Women’s Auxiliary.
Services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Lewistown, IL. Visitation will be held from 10-11 AM. Kathy Barrett will officiate. Burial of ashes will follow the services at Apple Cemetery in Rural Lewistown, IL. Cremation rites will be accorded with Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL. Memorials can be made to Mt.
