Mary Louise Boughan
Canton –Mary Louise Boughan, 91, passed away on April 13, 2018, at Clayberg Nursing Home in Cuba.
She was born on January 28, 1927 in Canton to Leroy and Edna (Gray) Strode.
She married Junior Lewis “Skeeter” Boughan and traveled extensively with him during his early career as a musician.
Surviving are two children, Rick Boughan of Canton, Garry (Karen) Boughan of Bloomington, ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons Randy and Terry Boughan, one brother Wayne Strode and one grandchild.
Mary Louise was an accountant for Caterpillar retiring in 1991. She attended the Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Canton Woman’s Bowling Association where she was inducted into the Hall of Fame. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing with her friends at the Canton Country Club where she was a longtime member. She enjoyed the Chicago Cubs, reading, her beloved cat “Nala” and having debates with her best friend Betty Thrasher.
Per her wishes cremation rites have been accorded and graveside service with the burial of the ashes will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 1pm, at Greenwood Cemetery in Canton. There will be no visitation.
Memorials can be made to Fulton County Humane Society.
