Farmington – Patricia “Pat” M. Viehweg, 83, of Farmington, passed away at on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Farmington Country Manor. She was born on October 19, 1934 in Dorchester, IL to Henry and Cordelia (Dehne) Suhling. She married the love of her life, Lee Viehweg on November 24, 1956 in Mt. Olive, IL, they were married for 62 years. He survives.
Also surviving are five children, Lynn (Martin) Anderson of Madeira Beach, FL, Mark (Lisa) Viehweg of Sioux Falls, SD, Lori (Michael) Lally of Egg Harbor Township, NJ, David (Barbara) Viehweg of Mankato, MN, and Dennis (Stacie) Viehweg of Wayne, IL; 11 grandchildren; and one sister, Doris Karnes of Bunker Hill, IL.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Elinor Tschauder.
Prior to marriage, Pat worked as a lab technician at OSF St. Francis Medical Center and later worked as a post master in Anchor, IL. She was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church in Farmington, IL.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, April 16, 2018 at St. Matthews Catholic Church in Farmington, IL, where a visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 AM. Father Daniel Ebker will officiate. Burial of ashes will follow the service at Foster Cemetery in rural Fairview, IL. Cremation rites will be accorded with Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington, IL. Memorials can be made to St. Matthews Catholic Church, St. Judes Childrens Hospital, or Donor’s Choice.
