Canton – Michelle “Micky” Ranee Dye, 53, of Canton, passed away at 5:30 AM on Friday, April 13, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on August 10, 1964 in Canton, IL to Harrison Shelby and Shirley Ann (Grafton) Rumler. She married the love of her life, Richard C. Dye Jr. on July 11, 1998 in Indiana, he survives.
Also surviving are two children, Mollie (BJ) Burkhart of Normal, IL and Richard C. “Trey” Dye III of Ottawa, IL; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and three brothers, Harry (Lori) Rumler, Larry (Susan) Rumler, and Jason (Bridget) Rumler all of Canton, IL.
Micky was preceded in death by her parents.
Micky was the head cook for the Fulton County Jail through the YWCA. “She was a Turtle” and was also a member of the Women of the Moose for 30 years.
A Celebration of life was held this past Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Josie’s B in Canton, IL. Cremation rites will be accorded with Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL.
