Canton – Luann Jackson, 63 passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2018, at the OSF St Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born on September 8, 1954, in Peoria to Raymond and Nellie (Nett) Sewell. They preceded her in death.
Surviving are her children, Matthew Foose of Canton, Nathan (Tammy) Foose of Farmington, Brandon (Charity Adams) Foose of Farmington, brothers Terry Sewell of Peoria, Ralph Sewell of Hopkinsville, KY, grandchildren, Alana Foose, Tanner Foose, Colton Foose, Jack Adams, Henry Adams, Eva Adams, sister in laws, Joyce Sewell, Mary Sewell and Donna Swords.
Also preceding her in death are three brothers, Mike Sewell, Ronnie Sewell and Gary Swords.
Luann owned and operated Walter’s flowers in Canton for 21 years retiring in 2014. She later worked for White Oaks Sports Bar and was the bookkeeper at Harmon’s Towing.
She enjoyed Golfing and bowling. Most of all she enjoyed her family, grandkids and friends.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a celebration of her life will be held at White Oaks Sports Bar on May 5, 2018 from 2 pm until the lights go down.
Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton is in charge of arrangements.
One of Luann’s contributions to the community was to pay off lay away accounts at Christmas time. The family requests memorials to them so they may continue this tradition.
