Farmington – Mary Lee Richards, 95, of Ft. Worth, TX, formerly of Farmington, IL, passed away at 5:08 PM on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Universal Health Services in Ft. Worth, TX. She was born on September 26, 1922 in Lake Linden, MI to Guy and Delia (Piche) Sanders. She married Earl Richards on January 15, 1944 in Peoria, IL, he preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death are her parents; two sons, William “Bill” Richards and Mark Richards; one brother, Roy Sanders; and one sister, Geraldine “Gerry” Sanders.
Surviving are four children, Bruce (Cindy) Richards of Darien, IL, Barbara (Tom) Gill of Gillette, WY, Ann (Charles) Harn of Ft. Worth, TX, and Judy (Steve) Robinson of Chandler, IN; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Jean Magnant of Indianapolis, IN.
Mary was a member of the St. Matthews Catholic Church in Farmington, IL. Without fail she prayed every day for her family and friends.
Graveside serves will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Oakridge Cemetery in Farmington, IL. Deacon Gary Schultz will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Farmington Rescue Squad 1100. Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington, IL is in charge of arrangements.
