Farmington – Cinda “Cindy” Lou Meeks, 74, of Farmington, passed away at 5:40 AM on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on March 13, 1944 in Canton, IL to Maynard and Hazel (Dikeman) Kimbrell. She married Eddie Meeks on October 16, 1965 at Farmington United Methodist Church, he survives.
Also surviving are two children, Kathy (Jeff) McVey of Farmington and Kevin (Tammy) Meeks of Farmington; four grandchildren, Kristina and Melissa McVey and Tiffany and Brittany Meeks; and two nephews, Bobby and Mike Gilstrap.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Dixie Gilstrap.
Cindy was a hairdresser out of her home for twenty plus years. She was a member of Farmington United Methodist Church and was an avid Elvis fan. Family, friends, and her animals were the most important things in her life.
Services will be held at 2 PM on Monday, April 16, 2018 at Farmington United Methodist Church. Rev. Walter Carlson will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery in Farmington, IL. A visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington.
