Leroy Davison

Canton – Leroy Davison, 85, of Canton passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Friday, March 31, 2017.
He was born on May 11, 1931 in Mooreland, Oklahoma to Abel and Olive (Morton) Davison, they preceded him in death
He married Ilene E. Plate on March 14, 1949 in Havana, she survives.
Also surviving are his children, Joann (Don) Burt of Sharon, WI, Donna (Frank) Wiljer of Canton, Colleen (Richard) Booth of Canton, Ronald (Margarita) Davison of Chicago, Janice (Jeff) Ashwood of Canton, Ginger (Duane) Graham of Lewistown, Tim (Shannon) Davison of Canton, one brother, Allen Davison of Oak Forest, IL, twenty two grandchildren, thirty two great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death are four brothers, Fred, Ebert, Harrison and Bob, one sister, Hazel David and two great - grandchildren Katelyn West and Elijah Stufflebeam.
He served in the National Guard from 1947-1948.
Leroy retired from the Canton Union School District #66 as a Custodian.  He enjoyed model
trains, collecting bird house and working in his yard.
Most of all he was a loving father, grandfather and friend.
Funeral services will be held at the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 10 am with a visitation on Wednesday, at the funeral home, from 5 until 7 pm.
Burial will be held at the Shields Chapel Cemetery.
