Clara M. Oldfield, 96, of Farmington, passed away at 7:25 PM on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Martin Health Care Center in Bloomington, Illinois. She was born on August 31, 1920 in Fulton County, IL; a daughter of Arthur and Lucy (Tindall) Malmgren. She married Clifton Oldfield on February 7, 1943 in Missouri. He preceded her in death on March 2, 1988
Also, preceding her in death are her parents, one infant son, David, one brother, Ralph Malmgren, and one sister, Edith Beaver.
Surviving are her children, Robert (Sue) Oldfield of Hanna City; Pat (Tom) Duley of Rantoul; 5 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Clara worked as a CNA for many years.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington, where visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. Cremation rites will be accorded. Her nephew Tom Harless will officiate. Burial will follow the service in Trivoli Cemetery. Memorial can be made to Farmington Rescue Squad 1100 or to Whitney’s Walk.
