Letha R. Steward

Canton – Letha R. Steward, 71, of Canton, passed away at 5:15 AM on Friday, April 7, 2017 at UnityPoint Health Methodist. She was born on January 25, 1946 in Windsor, MO to James Ward and Marjorie R. (Riecke) Bolton. She married Terry Lee Seward on January 9, 1970 in Farmington, IL, he survives.

Also surviving are two children, Troy Lee (Laura) Seward of Canton and Ward Shane (Mahra) Seward of Elgin; five grandchildren, Ami Seward of Canton, Quincy and Maggie Seward of Elgin, Michael Fraser and Matthew Rodriguez of Canton; two great-grandchildren, Carter and Isaac Goodnight of Canton; five brothers, Ed W. Davis of Canton, Joe H. Davis, Buddy G. Davis, Jack A. Davis all of Farmington, and Don E. Davis of Tellico Plains, TN; and one sister, Janice S. Kast of Green Ridge, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, James Bolton of Rock Springs, NY, and one sister, Shirley Peacock of Creve Coeur.

Letha graduated from Farmington High School in 1964. She worked for Viara Insurance and Lillie Insurance in Farmington for many years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She loved her children and grandchildren, and loved to read. Letha was a regular visitor at the library.
