Michael D. Belden, 38, of Macomb, IL, passed away at 7:49 am on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at his home. He was born on May 11, 1978 in Macomb, the son of Perry Posey and Pamela Belden.
Survivors include his son, Nikolas Belden of Rushville, IL, father, Perry (and LeAnn) Posey of Oak Hills, CA, grandparents, Donald and Phyllis Ebersole of Claremont, CA, step-father, Steve Bucy of Table Grove, IL, step- grandfather, John Bucy of Astoria, IL, 3 brothers, Matt (and Erin) Posey of Ipava, IL, Kyle (and Ruby) Posey of Victorville, CA and Mark Bucy of Table Grove, sister, Bradi (and Monte) Chipman of Ipava, girlfriend, Nicole Carithers of Macomb, and his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his mother, Pamela Bucy, grandmother, Toby Curley, grandfather, Gary Belden, grandparents, Edison Eugene and Margaret Posey, step-grandmother, Dorothy Bucy, and his nephew, Cole Posey.
Michael was a delivery driver for Amerigas. He also worked construction and drove a semi-truck for Belden Trucking.
He loved music, the guitar, playing the guitar and musicians Randy Rhoads and Zakk Wylde. He was also an Ozzy Osbourne fan. Michael was a kind father whose heart was always in the right place.
Services will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Pastor Doug Krukewitt will be officiating. A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 pm on Sunday, April 2 prior to the service. Cremation rights will be accorded following the service. Friends and family will meet at the Ipava American Legion after the service on Sunday. Memorials may be made to the Nicholas Belden Education Fund in care of Ipava State Bank.
