Surviving are her children, Nick Bridges Jr. of Trivoli; Katie (Michael) Mueller of Washington; two grandchildren, Milo, and Leo, to whom she was the best “Nannie". Two sisters, Barbara (Rich) Gillespie of Bartonville, and Mary Jane (Ron) Strawser of Bartonville, and a "same as a sister", Rhonda Welsh of Naples, Florida; one nephew, Sam (Molly) Jones of Denver, Colorado.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, and step-parents, Jack (Father) & Colleen Modlin, and Alice (Mother) & Harold Darby.
She graduated from Limestone High School in Bartonville, Class of 1971, and later graduated from Illinois Central College in East Peoria, where she received her Associates Degree. Nancy worked as a Medical Office Assistant for the Midwest Urological Group in Peoria for 40 plus years. She attended Northwoods Community Church, was on the Limestone High School 50-year class reunion committee, and was a volunteer for SAMS Rescue in Hanna City, where she had the love for animals, especially cats, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Baseball Fan.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Endsley-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Bartonville. Graveside services and burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 20, 2022 at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. Rev. Kevin VanTine will officiate.
