Bowling had a special place in her heart as she wore many hats while active in that world. She was inducted in the Bowling Hall of Fame, coached many bowlers, won many tournaments, and was the secretary for several leagues for many years, where she was responsible for tracking team performance, scores, distributing patches, and keeping the many facets of the bowling world organized amongst the league. Gloria enjoyed riding around in their Corvette and were avid members of both the Central Illinois Corvette Club (CICC) and the Cool Cruisers Club. She had a penchant for education and adored academia. She would exercise this belief regularly as she went back to school on multiple occasions, resulting several degrees.
