Paulette V. Gorsuch

Paulette V. Gorsuch, 82, of Astoria, IL, passed away at 4:30 pm on Monday, May 15, 2023 at her home. She was born on February 28, 1941 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Wayne and Roberta Dabe. Paulette married Norman C. Gorsuch on June 10, 1960 in Canton, IL. He survives.

Also surviving are her four daughters, Tina (and Scott) Johnson of Jacksonville, FL, Pam (and Bob) Hayball of Magnolia, TX, Gail (and Andy) McCombs of Astoria, and Glenda (and Tom) Howe of Astoria, one son, Norman B. (and Kizzie) Gorsuch of Astoria, twelve grandchildren, Jason, Ashley, Chad, Randy, Jessica, Alecque, Monique, Lacey, Katie, Thomas, Briar, and Tommi Jo, fifteen great-grandchildren, and one brother, Raymond Dabe of California.

She is preceded by her 2 sisters, Christine and Renee.

Paulette was a waitress at various restaurants for several years. She later was a tax preparer for H&R Block.

Paulette enjoyed gardening, dancing, sewing and knitting, shopping, cooking, Christmas and holidays, and swimming. She loved spending time with her family and loved having the whole family over for dinner.

Services will be held at 12 pm on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Bob Spencer will be officiating. A visitation will take place from 10 am to 12 pm before the service on Thursday. Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Astoria. Memorials may be made to Paulette’s family to go towards a headstone for Paulette.
