She was born on December 2, 1938, in Lewistown, to Alfred and Eleanor (Bainter) Berry. They preceded her in death.
Sherry married Bruce Lindzey; they shared over 30 years together before he passed away in 2009.
Also preceding her in death is one son, Troy Smith.
Sherry is survived by one son, Tyson (Amy) Smith, daughter in law, Heather Smith, Two daughters, Kathy (Bob) Lucia, and Kelly Price, seven grandchildren, Jake, Kaitlin, Annelyse, Spencer, Ian, Courtney, and Jordyn, and her dog Sunny.
Sherry is a lifetime member of the First Christian Church in Canton. She retired from Graham Hospital Radiology department after 30 years of service. She was one of the top blood donors at Graham Hospital over the years. Sherry was a lifelong card player. She belonged to numerous card clubs over the years. In her early years she enjoyed playing darts at the Canton American Legion. Sherry was a dedicated Chicago Bears fan, she never missed a Sunday game. She spent many hours taking care of her home and yard. Most of all Sherry loved attending her grandchildren’s countless sporting events and spoiling them anyway she could.
Cremation rites will be accorded with Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton. A celebration of life will be held Friday, November 29, 2024 at the Canton Elk’s Lodge #626 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the Fulton County Humane Society.
