Debra S. Morse

Debra S. Morse, 69, of Elmwood, IL, passed away early on November 18, 2024, at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Peoria. She was born February 10, 1955, in Peoria, IL, to Keith and Betty (Maher) Morse. She graduated with honors from Elmwood High School in 1973 and Southern Illinois University in 1976. Debra worked at Arthur Andersen after college. She left there and worked for the post office in Hanna City, Elmwood, and Canton until retiring in late 2020.

Debra always had a love for animals, especially horses and cats. She even owned a horse that she stabled in the family garage for a period of time.

She always had a thirst for knowledge and was an avid reader.

Debra is survived by her siblings, Raymond (Sally) Morse of Rochester, MN, Arlan (Ronna) Morse of Ashburn, VA, Brian (Kate) Morse of Peoria, and Tammy (Patrick) McCoy of Elmwood; eleven nieces and nephews; as well as several other relatives.

Memorials may be given to B.Y.E. Ambulance.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
