She was born on June 6, 1947 in Canton IL to Glenn and Sarah “Sally” (Troy) Kuhn.
Surviving are her children, Michael (Jillian) Young of Reno, NV, Erika (A.J. Pampalone) Young of Chesterton, IN and four grandchildren, Matthew, Michael, Thomas and Henry. She has one surviving sister, Sandy Bordenkircher of Jacksonville, IL and several nieces and nephews, Brent, Sarah, Andrea, Allison and Joe.
Preceding her in death are her parents, her brother, Dale Kuhn and her special Aunt, Deanna Anderson.
Mary graduated from Canton High School in 1965 and then received a B.S. in pharmacy in 1971 from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She worked for pharmacies in several IL communities including Brookfield, Gilman, Hoopsten and Paxton. Mary was inspired to become a pharmacist by working for Ed Lewis at Rexall Drugs in Canton. She enjoyed playing cards and was a cat lover. Most of all Mary, was a loving mother and grandmother. Spending time with her family held a special place in her heart.
Mary and her children would like to extend a special thanks to her physicians and the amazing VNA hospice staff.
A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Canton IL at 11am. There will be no visitation per her request. Burial will follow Mass at Greenwood Cemetery in Canton, IL. Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton, IL has been entrusted with arrangements.
