She was born on March 10, 1949 in Jacksonville, IL to Arthur and R. Lucille (Hammond) Sandman. They preceded her in death.
She married Larry Sarff on January 3, 1970 in Winchester, IL. He survives.
Also surviving are their sons, Ryan (Laura) Sarff of Washington, IL, Brandon (Kimberly) Sarff of Morton, IL, one brother, Richard (Louise) Hayes of East Peoria, IL and grandchildren, Adyson, Parker, Harlow, Asher, Liam and Tinley.
Kathy worked for the Illinois River Correctional Center in Canton, IL. She was active with the Canton CUDA swim team and the Canton Band Club Parents. She enjoyed traveling with her husband to beachfront locations and warm tropical climates. Most of all she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who enjoyed spending time with her family and attending her grandkids events.
A visitation will be held on Monday, July 8, 2024 from 2-4pm at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton, IL. A funeral service will follow at 4 pm at the funeral home. Cremation rites will follow the service.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Fulton County Humane Society.
