He was born on June 18, 1933 in Canton, IL to Hobert and Anna (Toben) Berry.
Surviving is his wife of 71 years, Bonnie (Seward) Berry. They were married on June 30, 1953 in Texas.
Also surviving are his children, Jack Berry of Chandler, AZ, Nancy (Bruce) Knapp of Brownstown, MI, Beth (Joe) Fierro of Linville, VA, two brothers, Albert Berry, John Berry, ten grandchildren, Christine, Douglas, James, Christopher, Joshua, Jonathan, Rachel, Alex, Rae and Valerie and eleven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, James Berry, one sister, Joann Fouts, two half-brothers and two half-sisters.
Harold served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict reaching the rank of Staff Sargent and received the National Defense Service Medal.
He retired from Honeywell in 1990 as a machinist.
He was a member of the Canton Elks Lodge #626, Canton VFW, Canton American Legion and the U.S. Power Squadron. Harold enjoyed golfing and on many occasions his foursome would be made up of four generations of his family.
Cremation rites have been accorded through Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
