Tammy Sue Bowman

Astoria- Tammy Sue Bowman, 65, passed away at 1:12 AM on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL. She was born in Rushville, IL on August 29, 1958, a daughter of William Harvey and Lola Jean (Danner) Bowman. She first married Mike Thomas, and later married Rick Stambaugh.

Tammy is survived by her three children, Billy (Tina) Bowman, Johnny (Lindsey) Thomas, Jackie (Joe) Surratt; two grandchildren, Joey Surratt and Aurora Thomas; her sister Pam Bowman; and her sister-in-law, Wanda Bowman.

She was preceded in death by both her parents; and her brother, Tim Bowman.

Throughout her life, Tammy worked for DOT Foods Store, Excel, and Fibera Steel. She was a member of the Astoria Grace Bible Church and of the Astoria Christian Church. She loved animals immensely.
