Kimberly Ann Johnson, 63, of Havana, passed away at Havana Healthcare Center at 1:17 p.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2023. She was born on December 26, 1959 in Lincoln, Illinois to Lloyd Elam and Eunice (Stiltz) Heinhorst. She married Harold Rhet Johnson. They later divorced and remained companions.
Kimberly is survived by her three children: Jason (Deanna) Stephens of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Star (Kevin) Murray, of Manito, and Jacob (Danielle Allen) Johnson, of Havana; five grandchildren: Madison and Nate Stephens, Donavon Lindsey, Briana Servis, and Jayden Johnson; as well as three step-grandchildren: Chris Armstrong, and Dylan and Austin Murray and great-granddaughter, Kyla Lindsey. She is also survived by two siblings: Tammy Marcum and Jeff Elam. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rhet Johnson, sister, Vicki Emerick, granddaughter, Jasmine Stephens, and step-grandson, Tyler Murray.
Kimberly was an amazing interior and exterior decorator. She would always be on the go with friends and family, whether it was to festivals or antique stores or even to drive around without a destination and simply enjoy the company of her driving companions. Kimberly’s family was the most important part of her life. She cherished every moment she had with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also a healthcare worker for over 40 years, doing everything she could for those that she took care of. Kimberly was a breast cancer survivor, who ultimately succumbed to the cancer when it reappeared after years of being in remission.
A private graveside service will take place at Bethel Cemetery. Rev. Aaron Blakeley will officiate.
