Karen Kay Isaacs

Canton- Karen Kay Isaacs, 79, of Canton, passed away at 5:05 AM on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Graham Hospital in Canton. She was born on August 10, 1944 in LaHarpe, Illinois, a daughter of Kenneth and Garnet (Carnes) Lefler Sr. She married Ray J. Isaacs on October 8, 1960 in Canton. He preceded her in death.

Also preceding her in death are her parents, two brothers, Thomas Lefler, Kenneth Lefler Jr., and one grandson, Alex Fahnders.

Surviving are her children, Trina (Don Fahnders) Isaacs, of Manito, Travis Isaacs of Emden, two grandchildren, Shelby, and Nick Fahnders; three sisters, Dixie Martin of Ohio, Linda Swise of Cuba, and Garnet Lefler of Ohio.

Karen and her husband, Ray owned and operated Spoon River Concessions, where they enjoyed traveling to various events to sell food and visit with the folks, they came in contact with for well over 30 years. She enjoyed gardening, and bird watching, but most of all was her love for Bingo, and her grandchildren. She was a past member of the Canton Assembly of God Church.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory, where a memorial visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of services. Cremation rites will be accorded. Rev. Kevin VanTine will officiate. Burial of ashes will take place in Orendorff-Breeds Cemetery, following the services.
