Also surviving are her brother Bob (Vicki) Pruett, brothers-in-law Dale (Patty) and Darold (Diane) Kempster, and sisters-in-law Joyce Kaywood and Rosalie Kempster. She was preceded in death by her parents Mary and Allen Pruett, and Robert and Juanita Morse; and her brothers, Joe (Carol) Morse and Robert (Mary Lou) Morse, brothers-in-law Kenny, Roger and Richard Kempster, and Marvin Kaywood.
Annie leaves a legacy in her 7 Freds, Abbi (Steve) Sothmann, Brian (Patrick Savoia) Peterson, Zach (Kelly) Stuaan, Jake Peterson, Luke (Alecia) Stuaan, Elizabeth Johnson, and Ben Johnson; and eight great grandchildren. Known and cherished as Grandma Dood, she was a fierce supporter of everything her grandchildren endeavored.
A career employee of the U.S. Postal Service, Annie was a Clerk in London Mills and Galesburg before serving 25 years in the role of Postmaster for the communities of Cameron and Fairview. She served for several years on the election board in Fulton County, and especially enjoyed participating in the election returns.
Family and friends were Annie’s greatest joy. Cheering from the stands at countless sporting events for each generation, and traveling far and wide, she never missed an opportunity to celebrate the little and the big events in life. Alongside Gary, Annie created a welcoming and warm home open to anyone who may stop by with floors clean enough to eat from.
The family extends heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to Heart & Home In Home Care LLC and Compassus Hospice for their compassion and care during Annie’s final days at home.
