Joe was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. and loved volunteering with the Marines for the annual Toys for Tots drive. He played Bass guitar for a local band “Membrata”. Joe loved motorcycles, dirt bike racing, dove hunting, target shooting and collecting guns. He dearly loved all animals.
Joseph is survived by his mother, Christine (Chris) Lagacy, of Morton, his father, Troy (Kathy) Pesha, of San Jose, his brother and best friend, Jonathan Pesha, of Manito, a step brother, Ryan Lagacy, of Fargo, ND, four stepsisters, Nicole Skelton, of San Jose, Cheyenne Summers, of Clinton, Missouri, Autumn Seferite, of Pekin, and Sara Lagacy, of Morton. Also surviving are his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Janet Pesha, of Manito, and maternal grandmother, Karen Painter, of Sioux City, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by a stepfather Joseph Stowell, Jr.
A visitation will be held Friday, June 16, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Maas-Hurley Funeral Home, in Manito. Military honors will follow in the courtyard of the funeral home at 6:00 pm. Cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation and honors ceremony.
Memorial contributions may be made to the USMC Toys for Tots local program.
