Catherine M. Cooney

Catherine M. Cooney, 85, of Havana passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at the Elms nursing home in Macomb. She was born on March 4, 1938 in Lewistown, Illinois to Russell and Sophie Cooney.

Survivors include one sister, Dorothy Grove, 4 nephews, and 3 nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Russell, Carl, Clarence, and infant Paul Virgil Cooney.
Catherine was a graduate of Astoria High School.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a burial will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown at a later date.
Hurley Funeral Home in Havana is in charge of arrangements.
