LaVina J. Kruse

LaVina J. Kruse, 79, of Macomb, formerly of Havana, passed away at 2:20 a.m., on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Grand Prairie Assisted Living of Macomb. She was born February 7, 1943, in Mason County, Illinois, to Robert and Marie (Hart) Shults. She married Leslie G. (Shorty) Kruse, in Havana, on February 17, 1959. He preceded her in death on March 4, 1995.

Mrs. Kruse is survived by one son, Jason (Shelley) Kruse, of Bushnell; two grandchildren: Addyson and Jaren Kruse, of Bushnell; and one brother, Mackey Shults of Lincoln, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and ten siblings: Faye, Violet, Julie, Clifford, Youton, Alva Lee, Mary Ellen, Edie, Buster and Patsy.

Mrs. Kruse was a member of Havana Church of Christ. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, flower gardening, working puzzles and watching Westerns.

Cremation rites have been accorded and burial will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery, in Havana, on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 11 a.m., Bill Boyce with officiate.
