Canton – Sherry K. Grzanich, 70, of Canton, passed away at 6:03 AM on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at UnityPoint Health Methodist. She was born on September 6, 1948 in Canton to Lee “Petie” and Dora (Grubor) Waughtel.
Surviving is her special companion, Jerry Padowan; four children, Yvette (Tim) Woods of St. David, Michael (Renee) Grzanich of Raymond, MS, Cami (Scott) Avis of Washington, IL, and Chris (Karen) Padowan of Napa, CA; ten grandchildren, Shauna (Tyler) Collins, Raegan Woods, Ryleigh and Amory Grzanich, Hailey, Lars, and Morgan Avis, Lucas, Chase and Payton Padowan, and two great-grandchildren.
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jackie Waughtel.
Sherry retired as an office secretary for CILCO. She was a member of the Elks Lodge 626 and the Canton Women’s Bowling Association. Sherry enjoyed crossword puzzles, bowling, and loved her family.
A celebration of life will be held from 1-3 PM on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the Elks Lodge 626 in Canton, IL. Cremation rites will be accorded with Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL. Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
