Lee Etta D. Tippey, age 81 of Abilene, TX, formerly of Summum, IL, passed away at 8:45 pm Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Hendricks Medical Center in Abilene. She was born on July 21, 1937 in Beardstown, IL, the daughter of Harry and Alberta (Scall) Spicer. Lee Etta married Ralph Lewis Tippey on September 25, 1955 in Beardstown. He preceded her in death on January 29, 2005.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and four siblings.
Lee Etta is survived by her daughter, Crystal (and Douglas) Offermann of Abilene, TX, two sons, Delbert (and Jacalyn) Tippey of Tuscaloosa, AL and Darold (and Karen) Tippey of Brunswick, GA, 6 grandchildren and her sister Susie Henry of Beardstown.
She worked as a cake decorator.
Services will be held on Saturday, January 19th at 2:00 pm at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria, IL. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Summum Cemetery, Summum, IL.
